Welcome to OLO – Outdoor Learning Online, an education portal that offers hands-on science lessons for remote learning environments.
OLO is a place where students can connect with our Habitat Restoration Team, experience the Bay virtually, and learn about the Bay’s wetlands, ecology and wildlife. Try new things, change your perspective, and make discoveries at your local park, at school or at home.
Whether you’re a kindergartener, a senior in high school, a parent, or a teacher, OLO has something for everyone.
Have you enjoyed exploring San Francisco Bay virtually? Are there ways we could improve our content? We want to hear from you. Take our survey, share your opinion, and help us grow OLO: Outdoor Learning Online.
Discover San Francisco Bay from your home or classroom. Our longer videos explore local phenomena in depth and include follow-up lessons and activities. Or check out Summer Camp videos for a collection of games and activities that help you explore the natural world.

In alignment with Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) and California Common Core, Save The Bay is adapting our shoreline education program to support classroom and distance learning. Our goal is to provide educational resources to students, teachers, and parents and bring the Bay’s watershed to life for more students. Below you can find locally focused, standards-based lessons and activities.
