San Francisco Bay—a vital source of life, recreation, and inspiration—is facing unprecedented threats. Climate change looms larger with each passing year. Sea level rise, flooding and other climate impacts are growing each year, threatening people, and wildlife.

To meet this moment, Save The Bay is launching a groundbreaking $8 million fundraising campaign—the accelerator our region needs. With $6 million already secured, we invite you to champion our cause, spread awareness, and help us raise the final $2 million we need to meet our goal.

Your Gift Builds Climate Resilience
We stand at a critical juncture in the face of climate change. If we don’t act now, we risk putting millions of people, vital infrastructure, and precious wildlife in jeopardy.
Through this campaign we will achieve the following:
- Accelerate Climate Resilience: Double the size of our climate action team to establish strategic partnerships with government entities and leverage key legislative opportunities to build sea-level rise and flood resilience.
- Advance Wetlands Restoration: Accelerate the restoration of 25,000 acres of wetlands (about the area of Manhattan), advocate for $1 billion in funding, and pioneer innovative transition zone projects.
- Combat Pollution & Promote Urban Greening: Fight for laws that eliminate plastic trash, strengthen the enforcement of environmental regulations, and support nature-based solutions that benefit both communities and the environment.
- Promote Equity & Environmental Justice: Establish partnerships that meet the needs of diverse communities, by advocating for policies and projects that improve affordable housing, accessible transit, and green infrastructures.
- Inspire Action: Mobilize and expand our bay-saving community by 100,000 strong, attracting and recruiting new volunteers, petition signers, funders, and supporters throughout the Bay Area.
