Monitoring Restoration Sites

To restore transition zone habitat, Save The Bay first looks to existing examples of healthy transition zones nearby and gathers expert knowledge to determine which plant species to use. Modeling our restoration strategy around the natural processes of these native habitats gives them the best chance for success well into the future. In order to know where to focus our work, we systematically observe our site looking for a variety of species and habitat structures. This process is called monitoring and in this video, we’ll show you what monitoring looks like.
