Become a Bay Sustainer: Protect Our Bay, Every Month
Bay Sustainers are the heart of Save The Bay, providing year-round support to protect and restore San Francisco Bay. Your monthly contribution helps us address urgent challenges and build a healthier, more climate-resilient Bay for future generations.
“As a long-time resident of the Bay Area, I am eternally grateful for Save The Bay’s work to preserve our fragile ecosystem…
“In 1961 Kay Kerr and friends went into action just in time to literally save the Bay from landfill. She predicted that saving the Bay was a battle that would never end.
“I’m eternally grateful for all the folks who have devoted time and energy to keeping up this worthy fight for a healthy ecosystem. Our monthly contribution is my small way of cheering on this great work on the part of the whole staff. You are honoring the Ohlone, Coast Miwok, Southern Pomo, Patwin, Miwok and Wappo tribes’ legacies with your efforts. Thank you!”
– Jane, Bay Sustainer since 2009
Make a Lasting Impact
With your recurring donation, you join a passionate community dedicated to advocating, restoring, and educating for San Francisco Bay. Together, we fortify our region against the effects of climate change, ensuring a lasting legacy for future generations.
A monthly gift of $10 will restore 130 square feet of vital wetland habitat over the course of a year—nearly the same size as a standard parking space. But instead of filling that space with a car, you’re filling it with life.
Wetlands are nature’s own carbon sinks, absorbing pollution and providing critical homes for endangered species, such as the salt marsh harvest mouse. They also act as natural barriers, shielding shoreline communities from rising seas, reducing the impact of climate change.
With your monthly gift, you’re transforming our shoreline into a vibrant, life-sustaining habitat.
