Combining Team-Building and Impact for an Uplifting Experience

Save The Bay has been protecting and restoring San Francisco Bay for more than 60 years. Every year, our volunteers remove tens of thousands of pounds of weeds and trash and plant nearly thousands of native seedlings that help the Bay adapt to climate change. Your team can be part of this effort.

Your team will:ย

  • Work side by side outdoors, building connections beyond the office
  • Learn about wetland ecology, Bay history, and climate change from expert leaders
  • Experience a three-hour, guided program at one of our beautiful shoreline sites in Oakland, Hayward, Menlo Park, or Palo Alto.

Expect a mix of fun, education, and impact. Our skilled restoration specialists provide all the tools and guidance youโ€™ll needโ€”no prior experience required. We’re happy to coordinate to meet any access needs.

  • We really wanted to get the Benefit community more involved and aware of local sustainability efforts, and the work that's being done around San Francisco. From the very first volunteer opportunity we had, it was such a great response from everyone. It was so interactive, and everyone was just stoked to be outside, learn about the plants, get their hands dirty.

  • Non-profit partnerships root for-profit organizations in responsible community involvement and bring meaning and purpose to our working lives. Volunteering fulfills a crucial component of personal well-being, community relations, and civic engagement. Environmental and social action give our lives qualitative value.

  • Volunteering with STB is a tangible and effective way to use your resources to benefit people and nature in the Bay area. The hard part of environmentalism is convincing people to care, if you want to volunteer this is a good place to use your time.
