Leadership in Storytelling Community Celebration Picnic (Lunch provided!) | Oakland

Are you looking to fight a dystopian future while connecting with nature, learning more about plants and wildlife, and having fun with new friends? Join Mycelium Youth Network and Save The Bay for the Leadership in Storytelling Community Activation Series at the MLK Jr. Regional Shoreline! This is a collaborative event led by youth who are using the power of storytelling to help our community make new connections to the lands we hold dear.

This event will be the finale celebration picnic. When you work together to change the future, how are you changed? How can we incorporate play as a strategy for community resilience? Come prepared to engage in story and whimsy on the shoreline! (Costumes are highly encouraged!)

Taco lunch will be provided!

Access: This event is appropriate for all ages! MLK Shoreline features a paved parking lot and paved trails. There are flush bathrooms and a water fountain accessible via the trail. Some activities may be planned off trail on grass or uneven terrain.

Directions: This event is happening at the Tern Picnic Area located at 1 Swan Wy, Oakland, CA 94621.
