San Francisco Bay was the perfect backdrop for our second annual Bay Day kick-off Catamaran Sail on Sunday, October 1. We partnered with longtime Bay business Adventure Cat and took almost 90 of Save The Bay’s donors and Bay Day partners on a sunset sail under the Golden Gate bridge. We gathered at Pier 39, waved at the sea lions as we drifted out into our beautiful Bay and returned home to a twinkly city nightscape. The Catamaran Sail was a kick-off to the second annual Bay Day celebration on October 7th. With the leadership of the Bay Day Co-Chairs and Host Committee, we filled the boat to capacity, which was triple the size of our inaugural sail in 2016. This is yet another reminder of how beloved San Francisco Bay is to residents in the region and how exciting an opportunity it can be to witness the Bay’s beauty from the water, even for people who have lived here for years. If you’re interested in learning more about Save The Bay’s events and opportunities to see our work in action, please contact me at kreitter@savesfbay.org or (510) 463-6837. Thank you again to our Catamaran Sail attendees, and we look forward to seeing you next year!
