From all of us at Save The Bay, thank you for celebrating Bay Day with us on Saturday, October 7, 2017. With your help, thousands of Bay residents enjoyed San Francisco Bay through hands-on restoration, education, and recreation programs. More than 70 activities were hosted across nine Bay Area counties helping people connect to the Bay’s nature, science, and beauty. Thank you to our dedicated volunteers, sponsors, donors, and community partners, whose generous support helped bring the Bay to life on this special day. Bay Day is a holiday with an important underlying purpose. Seven million people live in the Bay Area, and the Bay is the ecological and economic heart of our region – it unites us all. The more people connect with and celebrate San Francisco Bay, the harder they will fight to protect it, now and into the future. We hope Bay Day gave everyone a moment to appreciate our beautiful Bay even more. [metaslider id=14878] We’d also like to thank our spectacular photographers and videographers, including Plus M Productions, for capturing the vitality of this day – photos from Jill Clardy, Mike Oria, and Chris Shaw can be viewed above in our online gallery. We will be adding more photos from our partners in the days to come, so please check back for more Bay Day memories. If you posted a photo from Bay Day, don’t forget to tag us on social media and use the hashtag #SFBayDay. We look forward to building on the success of this year’s Bay Day and growing the Bay’s new holiday for years to come. Thank you for joining us.
